I am a user experience researcher
and strategist who has managed and run design, product, and service research projects at United Nations Development Program, Facebook, Instagram, and Google.
I am also a veteran social scientist and hold an anthropology PhD degree, specializing in trust and misinformation from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Over the course of my academic and professional life, my diverse interests have driven me to fields such as medical product research, immigrant rights support, social media, and design systems. While fulfilling assigned tasks in these seemingly unrelated fields, I have followed one principle: learn with users within the environment they belong to and advocate for their needs and expectations. This is what anthropologists call the ethnographic method, which is the backbone of my approach to the design and product development.
I am currently a senior product research manager at Best Buy, Richfield, Minnesota.
